Five Ways to Style Leather for SummerMany of us love our leather jackets, and so summer can be pretty bittersweet. We love the warm weather, the sunshine and days at the beach or at the pool. However, we miss our badass leather jackets, sick sweaters and awesome boots. There’s just something about those leather-clad heroes of yesteryear that makes us want year-round Autumn.

And we’re not alone, we’ve seen plenty of tweets from people complaining about the weather and missing their leather. So, we decided to create a few outfit ideas to help us all dress like badasses even without baking in the summer.

Sundress Season

This first outfit is perfect for those hot summer days with cool nights. A floral print sundress will look great and keep you cool throughout the day. Some Durango Crush boots will be perfect for tromping around outside, or impressing folks around the office. Then, on the porch at night you can throw on a light leather jacket like the Wildcat to keep the breeze at bay.

Festival Fringe

It wouldn’t be summer without music festivals, and you can’t go to a music festival without wearing fringe! We love our fringe here at Durango Leather Co. so we couldn’t resist putting together a flirty festival fringe look. You can layer a fringe vest like the Spring Bear over just about anything. We prefer it over a concert t-shirt, but that’s just us. Why stop there though? It’s festival season. Fringe it up! Add a fringe purse for the full effect. Then pull on some boots to keep your feet dry in the muddy mosh pit, and don’t forget shades so you can see the stage.

Fringe and Turqoise

Whether you’re heading for the beach, or just channeling the surf, a touch of aqua or turquoise is a great way to liven up a leather outfit for summer. And in this case we’re capitalizing on the fringe trend again, with turquoise statement pieces. The Kachina fringe dress has a flow-y frame perfect for summer, and a pair of turqoise Cheyenne sandals will compliments its earth tones well, and pull in a statement necklace.

Summer Floral Casual

Inspired by Abby from Life in the Fash Lane, this outfit is a simple yet trendy floral focused look. A trusty pair of jeans and floral top make up the primary pieces of the outfit, but a pair of statement sneakers and our cream Belle Star bag round it out. The Belle Star goes with most summer outfits, but it looks great with the pink flowers on this top. As simple as this outfit is, it’ll still make a statement with its bright colors and powerful prints.

Summer Floral Formal

Abby created a fashion formal outfit using our Belle Star bag on her blog, Life in the Fash Lane. This outfit inspired our formal floral look here. A navy skirt and floral top make for a bold  base to this outfit. Then, a set of cream accessories including some fantastic heels pull the outfit together creating a light summer-y feel.
